Optional Stops on Your Journey
Make your transfer more than just a ride. Add meaningful cultural stops along the way, turning your trip into a half-day or full-day experience depending on your time and interests.
Rasnov Fortress
Originally built by the Teutonic Knights and first recorded in 1331, Râșnov Fortress sits high on a rocky hilltop overlooking the town. Designed as a defense against Tartar invasions, the citadel includes nine towers, two bastions, and a historic drawbridge. Breached only once, it served as a refuge until the mid-19th century. Recently restored, it’s now open to visitors eager to explore its dramatic views and storied past.
Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle)
Famous worldwide as the alleged residence of Count Dracula, Bran Castle is perched on a steep cliff at the edge of Transylvania. Built in 1377 and gifted to Queen Marie of Romania in the early 20th century, the castle blends real royal history with the dark myth created by Bram Stoker. Today it’s one of Romania’s top tourist attractions, showcasing period furniture, art collections, and haunting legends.
Peleș Castle – Sinaia
In the mountain town of Sinaia lies Peleș Castle, a former royal residence and architectural gem. Built by King Carol I starting in 1873, it was the first castle in Europe to be fully powered by electricity. Its interiors are a showcase of eclectic design, with each room reflecting a different artistic style, making it one of the most beautiful palaces in Europe.
Slănic Prahova Salt Mine
Located 100 km north of Bucharest, the Slănic Salt Mine offers a unique underground experience. With constant temperature and pressure, the site is renowned for its therapeutic air quality, especially for respiratory conditions. Visitors can also enjoy recreational areas, including ping-pong tables and relaxation zones, all set deep inside the salt chambers.
Snagov Monastery
Tucked away on an island in Lake Snagov, this serene monastery is surrounded by forest and mystery. Archaeological findings show the site was inhabited since the Bronze Age. According to legend, Vlad the Impaler (Dracula) was secretly buried here after his assassination in 1476. Beyond the myth, Snagov Monastery was one of Wallachia’s most important religious and cultural centers in the Middle Ages.
